The children have chosen their own topic this half term and voted for 'Sport'.

The children will be learning about The Olympics in greater depth throughout this half term.

Welcome to Spring Term 1.

The children are very excited to start their new Topic : The Great Fire Of London.

We have visitors spending the morning with us on Wednesday 16th January. This will be an exciting morning. Photos to follow !

Throughout this half term, the children will have opportunities to: ask and find answers about the past; describe events and describe significant people from the past; while also, placing events and artefacts in order on a timeline.

This half term, the topic skills we are developing, through shared whole class fiction and non-fiction texts, are:

• Name and locate the world’s continents and oceans.

• Understand geographical similarities and differences of a small area of the United Kingdom and of a contrasting non-European country.

• Use world maps, atlases and globes to identify the United Kingdom and its countries, as well as the countries, continents.

• Use compass directions (north, south, east and west)

• Identify seasonal and daily weather patterns

•  Identify land use around the school.
