SASHA

SASHA

St Andrews School has a very active and enthusiastic Parent Teacher Association (PTA) called St Andrews School Helpers Association (SASHA).

Members help to raise funds for the school and build a friendly and enjoyable school community through several different activities.

SASHA funds provide the 'icing on the cake' items requested by the school that aren’t covered by statutory funding. That’s everything from nativity costumes, to laptops and our popular leavers ceremony. SASHA also funds and part funds larger items for the benefit of the whole school.

SASHA Meetings

The SASHA Committee meets every term, to plan the fundraising agenda for the coming year.

Committee members (Trustees) are a mixture of parents/guardians and teachers (Members) who volunteer their time to organise events and report on their achievements. Members are elected each year at their Annual General Meeting (AGM). Collectively, they manage the running of the charity, and also help our SASHA sub-committee members organise events such as our annual Summer Fayre and Discos.

Why not get involved? You will not need any specific skills to take part, just some free time, masses of enthusiasm, and a strong desire to make a difference. If you would like to join us, either as a committee member or a member volunteer, please email us at Sasha@st-andrewscofe.com for more information or fill in our new volunteer form:

Events

Over the years, SASHA have organised some great events, which allow parents to meet and form friendships through their children.

Last year, we held our popular Summer Fayre and it was a huge success. It brought the entire school community together for a fabulous afternoon of summer fun!

This summer, we aim to make it bigger and better than before. Check here soon for details and dates.

This year, we will be holding a Festive Christmas Fayre which is happening in December. Please check here for more information.

We are always looking for volunteers to help us run events. Please fill in the volunteer form linked above or let the school office know if you can help.

Our Pre-loved Uniform Shop

The Pre-loved Uniform Shop is not only a big fundraiser for SASHA, but also fantastic for the environment. It normally takes place in School on the first Thursday of each month, between 3pm-3.45pm. You can drop off any outgrown uniform anytime, at the school office.

The next pre-loved uniform sale will be on: Tuesday 30th April (3.15pm-3.45pm).

Want to speak to someone about SASHA? Our Pre-loved Uniform Shop is a great place to catch a committee member.

Discos

Discos are certainly a big hit with pupils attending our school. They not only provide funds for SASHA, but also a safe place for children to show off their personal style, dancing skills and the opportunity to forge stronger friendships. SASHA volunteers are always on hand for nervous or wary children and provide a place for parents to sit and chat whilst their children are dancing the night away.

Our next school disco is happening on: Date TBC

Cost: £2.50
