Admissions

General admissions information

Essex County Council co-ordinates the school's applications for the normal admissions round for reception places and further information can be found at Essex Schools Admissions

Applying for a mid-year place at our school

With effect from 1st April 2022 the process for managing mid-year (Year 1 – 6) admissions will change from Essex County Council to Primary Schools.  This is reflected in the Essex County Council’s coordinated admissions scheme available on their website.

All mid-year applications should be made directly to the school, using the mid-year application form available on our website and/or the school office. Mid-year applications (sometimes called in-year applications) are any application for a school place made to a year group, apart from September admissions to Reception.

For applications into existing year groups, a place will be offered when the number of pupils in the relevant year group is below the admission number for that year group. When an application is received we will aim to respond within 15 school working days

Please note: if a mid-year application is received during a school holiday period, we will respond as soon as possible when the school reopens.

The school will hold an in- year applications waiting list for all year groups which you will be added to should you be unsuccessful in your application. Each year the waiting list will expire at the end of the current academic year and should you wish to remain on the waiting list a subsequent application should be made on an academic yearly basis.
