Welcome back! What glorious weather we are having to start the new term, after a long winter let's hope the sunshine is here to stay!
The year has flown by, I cannot believe year 6 are now in their final term of Primary School and they are soon to fly the nest. Later in the term we will start rehearsing for out end of year production (more details to be released later in May...) We also have sports days, arts weeks and lots of other exciting things going on throughout the term.
This term or topic is 'Diet and Nutrition'; we will be learning about what we need to eat to keep healthy and how sports nutrition is used.
In May the children have SATs week, please see the timetable below. They are working hard in preparation for these assessments but we are also ensuring they are also enjoying a wide range of curriculum opportunities, as detailed on this half term's curriculum newsletter.
As ever, if you need any advice in how best to prepare your child for the forthcoming tests please do pop in to see me.

Shakespeare in Schools-Friday 17th November
We had an amazing day participating in drama workshops with the Young Shakespeare Company. We learned all about Hamlet (deceit, love and ghostly apparitions!) and watched a production all afternoon. We were captivated!
We are here safely and although it rained on the way here the sun is now out. We have settled in our rooms and have had a tour of the site. This evening we are playing a game in the dark called 'Ambush', we can't wait !!
PGL- Day 2
After a massive breakfast we played 'Aeroball', conquered the high ropes, shot a few arrows and tackled 'Jacob's Ladder.' The rain has stayed away today so we have spent any spare time playing games outside. This evening we are playing team games in the sports-hall.
We have had another action-packed day. We have managed to avoid most of the rain and have now really found our way around the site.
Today started like every other.....with a room inspection!
